#74--When you go out to a crowded place and friends always use you as the "meeting place" if anyone gets lost...

At 6'7", I am typically easy to find for my kids or friends, but I have never actually been used as the "meeting place" or at least no one has ever told me I was being used as the meeting place. My biggest challenge growing up was finding tall and big gear that fit me so I could ride a bike that was comfortable, find shoes that fit, find shirts that were long enough and pants with longer inseams. Those items have become easier to find, but often I find a piece of gear that is small, lightweight, but that comfortably fits my longer, bigger frame.

Sanuk for Big and Tall

Winter Hiking with YakTrax

I love to hike. I live near enough to great hiking trails that I can hike pretty much anytime of  year round. In the winter I  don the hiking pants and waterproof shoes, and if the snow is deep, I even put on my gaiters and hit what ever trail calls to me that day. Snow never stopped me, but it did slow me down a lot!  Then I tried using Yaktrax.  These aren’t fully spiked glacier climbing crampons.
